Fall Fishing Just Around the Corner

Yesterday in Colorado Springs, the city was pounded with up to 2 feet of hail in some areas.  The nights are cooling down and daytime temps make it once again bearable to be outside.  That means it is time to start thinking about our fall Colorado Fly Fishing Trips and the annual migration of brown trout.  In the coming weeks I expect fishing to continue to be very good....as long as we keep decent water levels.  I am sure that everyone is getting antsy as most do every year.  Let me be clear, we are still a few weeks, if not a month away from seeing any type of measureable numbers moving into the river, or at least showing that they moved into the river.  It is also time to start thinking about booking days during the first couple weeks of October and try to target some of these lake fish.  If you are going to book a trip, whether with myself or with others, do your research.  Find a guide that will not put you on paired up spawning fish, or who will do the right thing when you foul hook a fish.  There are plenty of good guides out there that will try to teach you the right way to target these fish.  If you are interested in booking a trip, please email me for info at tere5643@gmail.com!  Below are some pictures from past fall fishing trips.
