Memorial Day Weekend Coming to a Close with Great Fishing

First and foremost it is important during this Memorial Day weekend that we take a moment to reflect on why many have a long weekend.  I want to say THANK YOU to all the men and women who serve or have served in the military.  These people fight for the preservation of the freedoms and values that we hold so dear.  Men and Women have given their lives so that this great nation and others around the world may be free.  Alright, so to the fishing.  Recent trips have produced some aweseom fishing.  BWOs and Caddis are starting to become prevalent on area waters and runoff should soon be in the future.  Personally, I cannot wait to have a runoff this year and for the fish to have some more water.  Both public and private waters are fishing great.  Both nymphs and dries are producing.  Below are some pictures of some of the great fish we have gotten into recently.

BIG Trout on the South Platte River

The beginning of May has brought with it some absolutely amazing fly fishing on the South Platte River.  Private and public water trips have been very productive!  We have been picking up fish on both dries and nymphs with great results. While crowds on public water contiue to grow as the weather warms, the fishing is still good.  Private water has been producing some absolute big fish to accompany high numbers of caught fish.  The Lakes in South Park have also been fishing well, when in the right spot with the right flies. As the weather continues get nicer and nicer, the fishing will continue to get better as well.  Below are some pictures of recent trips on both public and private water.  Booking a guide trip right now for the summer is a great opportunity to learn the areas and techniques that will produce fish.  So whether you would like to learn the area rivers or just fine tune your fly fishing technique, give me a call at 719-494-6480 or email me at Tere5643@gmail.com to book a trip.
