Chunker from the Platte

Today I guided a great father and son combo of Mike and Blake.  The crowds have been close to insane out in South Park so we opted to fish another public section of the South Platte River a little closer to Denver.  The day started out strong, with several fish eating our bugs.  However, we were not able to bring them to hand.  Throughout the day this would continue to happen, but we were able to land some real quality rainbow and brown trout.  Blake even landed an absolute slab, which was one of the bigger fish I have seen down there in a long time.  The weather was great until the wind picked up but overall it was a beautiful.  I look forward to fishing with these two again in the future.
