Over the last week or so things have really picked up. Water levels have come up in South Park and on the North Fork and the fishing has really turned on. South Park lakes are fishing great as well. Even though flows remain on the low side closer to Denver, fishing continues to be good. Keep in mind that as the water warms throughout the day fish should be landed quickly and handled as little as possible. On ALL stretches, Dries, Nymphs, and Streamers have been productive. For those that believe fly fishing or fishing in general is for adult males, this week has been a great example of how great women and children are at bringing fish to the net as well. The South Platte offers great opportunities for people of all ages, genders, and skill levels and I would love to share it with you. Early Summer Fly Fishing
Fishing this June has been great so far. After a long wait, water levels in South Park are up and both the rivers and lakes are fishing well. Nymphs have been producing most of the fish, but dries will begin to turn fish soon. Closer to Denver and Colorado Springs, the South Platte is low and clear but still fishing very well with both dries and nymphs. Likewise, private water trips have been nothing short of amazing. Although the water is a little higher and off color we are still fooling some big fish. On the another note I ask that everyone keep those effected by the current fires in their thoughts and prayers. So many homes have been lost and I can only imagine how hard this is for so many people. So again please take a second and say a prayer for these folks. Below are some pictures from recent trips. If you would like to book a trip for either public or private water, give me a call at 719-494-6480 or email me at tere5643@gmail.com
