Last week a fellow fishing friend and I took a road trip from the Springs to chase some big Mysis fed fish. While there were two fish seen that were well above 10lbs, they were extremely spooky and were gone before a cast was able to be made. That did not stop us from landing several nice fish and enjoying a couple of beautiful days.

Guide Season Starting to Get Rolling
The Lakes in South Park are completely thawed and the fishing could not be better. While the flows on the Dream Stream and above Spinney Reservoir are still relatively low, there is great fishing to be had. Guides reports from the North Fork of the South Platte is that it is fishing well on all the private water. Baetis are showing up and fish can be had on both nymph and dry fly rigs through the South Platte system.
